SCRAM stands for Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor. The SCRAM device is a type of electronic monitoring that is often imposed as an alternative sentencing tool to avoid or minimize jailtime, particularly in DUIs with priors (ie, second offense DUI, third offense DUI, etc).
