These DUI check-points are nothing more than entrapment, and a violation of our rights. Innocent until proven guilty? I think not. Guilty until proven innocent fits DUI check points more appropriately.

Just because you guys can identify a burnt bulb doesnt excuse you from following the guidelines set out for the use of the grants from berkley...Then again, just because your not following the guidelines, doesnt mean it will matter. If you want to know, I prefer the daytime cdl checkpoints, because those are the ones you think your going to make a killing on, and also the ones that are easiest for me to detour all the cars in the other direction...leaving you with your ding dings in you hand. Sometimes a single unethical decision can have long lasting effects in unpredictable ways...That also applies if I end up under the tire of a tow truck while cycling. I restore the 4th amendment for citizens in Gardena and Hawthorne. The law requires police to allow motorists to turn off and avoid checkpoints. Usually though, the opposite is true. Last night, 2-24-2012 I observed a checkpoint (also in Gardena) that allowed motorists to turn off, without being chased down and pulled over for doing so. While that is a nice change, the fourth amendment does not allow for suspicionless stops. The constitution trumps any court decision, especially one based on lies.
